01. WOODCRAFT - KING SIZE BED PROJECT - Mar 18, 2016 9:32:00 AM
I was planning to design a King Size bed for myself for very long time but never found the time. Finally when i did find the time, this is what came up. This is a simple to make King Size bed, even if it might seem complicated. Is not complicated, it just has some extra pieces.

You don't need a lot o tools to make it but, good quality lumber will be needed.

I will probably modify it for the available space that i have and type of lumber.

For now this is all i have to say.

Hopefully i will manage to find the time to make it.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to share it with your friends.
( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { 'units' : [] }; }; var unit = {"calltype":"async[2]","publisher":"ccghioca","width":550,"height":250,"sid":"Chitika Default"}; var placement_id = window.CHITIKA.units.length; window.CHITIKA.units.push(unit); document.write(''); }());
02. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE - MARKER STAND FOR DESIGNERS - Nov 13, 2015 8:22:00 AM
( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { 'units' : [] }; }; var unit = {"calltype":"async[2]","publisher":"ccghioca","width":550,"height":250,"sid":"Chitika Default"}; var placement_id = window.CHITIKA.units.length; window.CHITIKA.units.push(unit); document.write(''); }());       This is a project I made for hobby and art shops. Is a simple marker support that can be easily assembled and disassembled by anyone. Is made from 3mm material, simple but functional.

I could make it more complicated but the key is to sell the markers, not the support. So it needs to look good but not that good. Al least that is my opinion.

Of curse if you are a designer you can make one for yourself. It will come in handy when drawing and sketching.

So what do you think? Would you like to see them in the shops?

If you like it, share it!

03. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE - FRUIT BASKET - Nov 12, 2015 8:46:00 AM
( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { 'units' : [] }; }; var unit = {"calltype":"async[2]","publisher":"ccghioca","width":550,"height":250,"sid":"Chitika Default"}; var placement_id = window.CHITIKA.units.length; window.CHITIKA.units.push(unit); document.write(''); }()); Here we go again. Another fruit basket made from 3 mm mdf. You can use other type of material too but I prefer wood. I guess I always wanted to be a woodworker but I guess being an engineer is even better.
I had in mind once that

This basket could be used to store something. I would use it to put my keys, wallet, and personal stuff that I always carry with me.

But that is just me.

What would you use this basket for?
04. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE - FRUIT BASKET - Nov 10, 2015 10:22:00 AM
( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { 'units' : [] }; }; var unit = {"calltype":"async[2]","publisher":"ccghioca","width":550,"height":250,"sid":"Chitika Default"}; var placement_id = window.CHITIKA.units.length; window.CHITIKA.units.push(unit); document.write(''); }()); This is a fruit  basket that I hope to see being manufacture in the near future.
It was made for 3 mm material but it can be scaled for other thickness also. Simplicity is probably the only thing that I had in mind when I designed this basket.

So there isn't much to say about this. Well...maybe just the fact that you can't use it for berry's, cherry's or any other type of small fruits. :)

I hope you enjoy this project and don't forget to share it with your friends.

05. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - STEAMPUNK WATCH - Sep 4, 2015 2:36:00 PM
This is not 100% woodcraft project because I used a lot of cooper and bras parts but I like the way the combination turned out.

I hope you like it and don't forget to share it with your friends!
06. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - BATTLE FIELD CASTLE - Sep 3, 2015 1:55:00 PM
So I decided to make this for a contest and then I stopped. But then I decided to finish it even thaw is not something extraordinary.
I begun making only the castle walls and towers in such a way the parts can be cut on a laser machine or a CNC.

But then I had the idea of a siege so I made some simple horses representing the heavy cavalry. What is a war without the heavy pony.....with wigs of curse.

Next I decided to take the infantry, swords, spears and used linear pattern to make it look like a real army.

Finally I made some catapults and cannons just to make it even more realistic. I don't know why cause the horses are flying horses. That isn't very realistic.

But at the end I don't know if I like it very much and I would be surprised is someone would. So what do you think? Was it worth it loosing a few hours to make this project or not. Let me know in the comment box. Thanks and don't forget to share it with your friends.
07. WOODCRAFT PROJECT - BEDSIDE TABLE WITH DRAWERS - Jul 1, 2015 1:43:00 PM
I was trying to make a small coffee table when I started designing this and as in many occasions I start to design something but it turns out something else.
This might be the perfect woodcraft project that anyone can make and is really not that complicated.
Also I know that woodworkers don't have a lot of router bits or molding hand planes so you can choose how the profiles will be.

Also this woodcraft project is very compact and sturdy so you won't have problems in time.

If you like this share it with your friends

08. WOODCRAFT PROJECT - OUTDOOR BENCH - Jun 26, 2015 2:41:00 PM
This is the beginning of a long series of furniture projects most of them made out of wood using conventional methods for woodworking and woodcraft and some might be designed as 3D Puzzle furniture, the type of furniture you can easily assemble and disassemble over and over again.

This project was made for myself originally, but I decided to share it with all of you. I chose my building material to be acacia because is easy to find in my area and because it can last for many years outdoor in the rain and snow. If you can apply a protective coat of varnish or lacquer is even better. If assembled correctly it will last maybe for generations.

Of course you will need to take care of it by applying every few years another protective coating.
This is not an original idea of mine. I found it on the web, but right now I can't find the exact link where I found it.

So I followed the same structural design, but with my dimensions and some extra curves, not too much, just enough to give it a more presentable look.

If you found this project interesting share it with your friends.

09. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - SIMPLE BOX FOR VALENTINE'S DAY - Jun 26, 2015 11:13:00 AM
Well since I started going on the " Gift " road then I will show you another gift box but this time much more simple with just one word engraved on the lid of the box. Is made for 3 mm MDF but can be scaled for any dimension. Like all the projects made for laser cutting from my blog this one is also made as a 3D Puzzle. So you won't need glue or anything. Everything just snaps into place

Is not extraordinary good looking but it is cheap , cause not everyone can afford the perfect gift box.

That being said if you have any comment you can write them in the box bellow and don't forget to share it with your friends
10. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FLOOR LAMP - Jun 25, 2015 8:56:00 AM

The style of the patterns made on the floor lamp are a combination of Arabic style, Victorian style, and Egyptian style. It was originally designed for 3 mm MDF but I later scale it just in case someone asks for the 6 mm MDF version.

The floor lamp is assembled like a 3D puzzle and doesn't need glue.
I made this design thinking that it would be nice to glue some ornamental paper on the inside of each panel and then take it with me on a night picnic with my friends and family.

If you found this interesting share it with your friends and come visit me again!
11. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - MIRROR FRAME - Jun 24, 2015 12:42:00 PM
It took me a lot of time to make this project but is totally worth it. This mirror kit is easy to assemble because it has only 7 components.

Made out of 9 mm MDF is the perfect gift for any wife, girlfriend, sister or mother.

Based on a Victorian style it can be made from a wide range of materials. This mirror frame kit can be purchased complete or you can choose only one type of frame.

Searching over the internet for the perfect mirror frame for myself and not finding the right one made me create this project.

So I hope you enjoyed this new project and don't forget to share it with your friends.
12. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - GIFT BOX - Jun 23, 2015 11:18:00 AM

The best present you can give to the woman of your dreams might be a ring, a flower, a necklace, or maybe your heart, but when it comes to material gifts specially jewelry , she is always going to search the perfect box. The level of detail made for this box is quite high and very pretty.

Made for 3 mm material for laser cutting (which can easy achieve that level of detail) or CNC (level of detail might be ruined in the sharp corners so I wouldn't recommend using the CNC) is what makes this box the perfect gift for all those perfect gifts that you made. If you want to get involved in the "Making Off" you can even chose the perfect material with the right texture am make it on a scroll saw.

I must say I can see this one made not from MDF or Plexiglas but more likely made from Purple Heart wood or Padauk.

If you like what you see share it with your friends!
13. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - WHEELBARROW - Jun 22, 2015 2:07:00 PM
This wheelbarrow was originally made for 3 mm mdf but I saw that it is cool to put a flower pot inside I also made scale versions for 6 mm mdf and for 9 mm mdf.       One thing I MUST modify is the wheel because is a little to fragile. This project was not my idea. I just found a bad quality pattern of it on the web and decided do give it a try.       After a little bit of work, a lot of patience, I managed to make it fit. After that I just made a rendering and here you go..... a wheelbarrow with style :).          If you enjoyed this project please share it with your friends and leave a comment. Best regards.
14. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FERRIS WHEEL - Jun 18, 2015 9:32:00 AM
I had fun making this project and everything started by mistake. I wanted to make a simple circular pattern and then things just evolved, I added more pieces and with a good amount of inspiration the result was awesome. All the pieces are made for 3 mm mdf or any type of material you want to make it from, except for the shaft that is a 30 mm wooden dowel.
If you like this share it with your friends :)
15. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - POND BRIDGE - Jun 17, 2015 8:09:00 AM

I made this bridge out of 9 mm mdf for a small pond. The patterns and engravings can be deleted but I think it really looks great with them.
For the moment I am just  sharing it with you, but I might sell this project for cnc or laser cutting.
It can also be used as a bridge in a playground for kids.

16. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FAIRY POT SUPPORT - Jun 16, 2015 9:34:00 AM

Since I am a big fan of flowers I made a lot of pots for laser cutting or for CNC cutting, but this one is one of the best good looking of all. The material can be wood but if you are going to use it outdoor is better if you use hardwood or plastic. I don't recommend metal cause might reflect the light directly on the flower and might burn it. Of course you can paint it but the what is the point of making it from metal.

I hope you like it and don't forget to share it with your friends on the social networks.
17. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FORMULA 1 CAR - Jun 15, 2015 3:53:00 PM

Here it is. Simple but good looking made for 3mm  mdf, that can make a really good décor on any shelf. This project is for sale and is negotiable.

If you like it share it with your friends.

18. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - WOODEN VICTORIAN LOCOMOTIVE - Feb 3, 2015 8:46:00 AM

There is not much to say about this wooden locomotive except that is has a lot of parts, is made for 3 mm mdf or plywood and it looks cool.

         Hope you like it.
19. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - WOODEN BOX - Feb 3, 2015 8:17:00 AM

I must say that a wood box with lid is something that we all should have in our home, workshop or garage. But what if you want one that you could keep a few things in and in the same time for display?
Well this 3D Puzzle wooden box is the best idea for it.
Of corse the cut patern ca be different and this box can be made in many ways and sizes. You can send me a foto of your prefered patern and i will modify it for you. I is made for 3 mm materials but it can be modified for 6 mm.

            Enjoy!
20. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - SMALL FRUIT BASKET - Jan 26, 2015 10:34:00 AM
This small fruit basket is made out of 3 mm mdf. It did took a lot of time to make it but i think it's worth it. I made it for small fruits like cherry but you can use it the way you want. I hope you like it and please share it with your friend.

22. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FRETWORK SHELF - Jan 24, 2015 10:20:00 AM

For those who find scrollsaw projects interesting, this might be one of them. The shelf was designed for the home entry. I believe that next to a door is the best place for it. Since it was made for scrollsaw and not for laser cutting i decided to make it for 6 mm mdf. You can chose other type of materials if you like. Also the project can be modified for 3 mm materials.

Hope you enjoy my projects and please share it with your friends.

23. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - SPICE RACK - Jan 23, 2015 1:50:00 PM
This shelf is intended to be for kitchen use. You can put anything you want that fits in it but what I had in mind when I made it were spices, small jars of spices. Of corse you can chose to use it in other room but that is up to you.
It was designed for 3 mm mdf but you can use any type of material you like. The shape and dimensions can be modified acording to the customer request.

Hope you like it. :)
24. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - FRETWORK ORNAMENT - Jan 22, 2015 9:35:00 AM
This is another project made for fireplace shelfs, library or any desk or table. I would use this on a study office or room because it is a pleasant view that can calm any angry spirit. It might look cool but actualy is hard to make and time consuming. If you decide to make it on a manual scroll saw or a scroll saw macini it will take a lot of time  but once completed you will be very happy. Best way would be to make it on a laser cutting machine and not a CNC because a laser machine can cut those fine details without damaging the model.
Feel free to contact me for dxf files and renderings purchase.

Hope you like it and enjoy my future models.
25. WOODCRAFT 3D PUZZLE PROJECT - DESK LAMP - Jan 21, 2015 2:46:00 PM
This is a simple design that i made in SolidWorks and the rendering made in Keyshot for a client that had only one thing in mind: simple, cheap to make but cool. Is simple indeed but at night or in a dark room it realy looks great. Hope you like it please share it on your social network.
